Healthy Eating
My idea of a healthy diet consists of several things:
- Little to no processed foods
Note: I’d rather eat foods higher in calories knowing that they’re natural. Our body isn’t designed to process foods with chemicals or other artificial things. This adds to our weight and poor health. - Eating in moderation and not consuming large amounts of anything
- Eating every few hours and not eating huge meals
- Drinking lots of water (you don’t want to drink your calories)
- Limit soda
Eliminate things slowly from your diet. For example, if you typically drink 2 sodas a day, cut it down to 2 sodas 5 times a week, then2 soda 3 times a week and so on. - Eating foods made with whole grains
- Splurge sometimes – reward yourself – but don’t go overboard
- Plan ahead. Packing your lunch and snacks for work is a great way to control what you eat and eat healthy. Studies have shown that when you are rushing around, you eat higher-calorie and processed “quick” foods.
- Take a multi-vitamin *
* Unlike many other trainers and fitness experts I do not sell any sort of pills, extras or anything. I’m more than happy to recommend things like vitamins and other foods/etc based on what I use myself though.
